6:6. ದೇವಮನುಷ್ಯನು, “ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿತು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕೊಡಲಿಯು ಬಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಎಲೀಷನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಎಲೀಷನು ಒಂದು ಕಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು ಅದನ್ನು ನೀರಿನೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಎಸೆದನು. ಆ ಕಡ್ಡಿಯು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕೊಡಲಿಯನ್ನು ತೇಲುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು.

6:6. ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು--ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತು ಅಂದನು. ಇವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನು ಒಂದು ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಕೊಡಲಿಯು ತೇಲಾಡಿತು.

6:6. The prophet asked, "Where did it drop in?" When he showed him the spot, Elisha cut off a branch, threw it in at that spot, and made the ax head float.
